Background
Locally born and raised with educational and professional experience on the mainland, Scott works with Hawaii’s leading companies and nonprofits to diagnose, design, and implement solutions. He brings the same business and organizational savvy he contributed as a multi-faceted Executive Director during Hawaiian Telcom’s remarkable business turnaround.
Scott’s passion and purpose are in the empowerment of others. His background in strategic facilitation, change/crisis management, performance improvement, and business repositioning, with a primary focus on employee engagement initiatives and corporate culture development, result in a unique set of skills that will help you successfully navigate these unprecedented times.
Experience
Scott has over twenty years of professional experience as a corporate leader designing infrastructure, a business and legal strategist, and a non-profit board president, all of which he brings to his current role as a coach and consultant.
Although confident about his career progress and knowledge, he sought coaching to add navigational insight and perspective. While he expected his coach to provide support and practical guidance, the unanticipated surprise was the deep self-awareness Scott gained. He realized his true purpose lies in empowering others, from clients and colleagues, to friends and family.
Scott is also highly community-minded, as demonstrated through his work as a Board member and past president of Hawaii Literacy, high school volleyball coach, as well as 20+ years of service recently concluded on the State Board of Bar Examiners. He has provided coaching to the five most recent cohorts of the prestigious Omidyar Fellows program, was himself a Pacific Century Fellow (Class of 2004), and was named to Hawaii Business Magazine’s inaugural “25 People for the Next 25 Years” (2007) and Pacific Business News’ Forty Under 40 (2010).
